G-Monitor Talkback
Developer: Rommel Cuneta
Package: com.gmonitor.talkback
Effective date: October 7, 2026

This policy covers the installed Android app, the local web interface served by an Android transmitter for iPhone and iPad receivers, and the public download website. The public website is a landing page, not a hosted Talkback PWA.
Microphone, camera and selected photos
Microphone access enables live audio sessions. Your speech is transmitted to your selected participants only while Talk is on. Permission is requested when starting or joining a session. The app does not record or save session audio.
Camera access reads pairing QR codes after you open the scanner. Camera frames and photos you choose for QR reading are processed on your device. They are not uploaded to the developer or an analytics service. Camera capture stops when the scanner closes. Manual pairing can be used without camera access.
Local sessions and other participants
Audio and pairing information travel over your local Wi-Fi or hotspot. The transmitter routes receiver audio to the selected participants; it may process audio destined for other receivers. The developer does not operate a signaling or audio server for sessions. WebRTC encrypts audio in transit; installed-app signaling uses encrypted messages and the optional iOS connection uses local HTTPS/WSS.
Your chosen display name, local network address, session identifiers and connection information are used to join and manage sessions. Current Android network discovery advertises a generic transmitter label, temporary service identifier and local endpoint to devices on that network before they join. Receiver names are encrypted during the join handshake and shown to the transmitter for admission. Connected participants receive team names through the encrypted session. Audio is available only after pairing/admission. Use a nickname if you do not want your team to see your real name.
Choose only trusted participants. Other participants control their own devices; the app cannot prevent external recording of a conversation. Keep invitation QRs and pairing PINs private. Installing the optional local certificate for iOS trusts that Android installation; remove the certificate when you no longer trust or use it.
Data stored on your device
The app saves your display name, accepted communication-policy version and installation prompt preferences locally. The Android app bundles its interface; its local iOS web interface can cache interface assets in the browser. The Android transmitter stores its local certificate/key material to preserve certificate trust between sessions and app updates. Current Android builds exclude app data from Android cloud backup and device transfer. Session audio is not retained; connection, blocking and approval state is temporary and is discarded on session end or expiry.
Change or clear your name in Settings. Clear browser site data to remove local web-interface preferences and cached assets, or data left by the previously hosted PWA. Android's Clear storage or uninstall removes app data, including the transmitter certificate; iOS certificate setup must then be repeated. Revoke microphone/camera permissions in device or browser settings. The app has no account registration, so there is no app account to delete.
Installed Android app
The installed Android app does not load Google Analytics, advertising SDKs or a developer crash-reporting service. It does not access contacts, precise location, phone numbers, advertising IDs or the inventory of other apps. It uses internet/network permissions for local connectivity and audio settings access for speaker routing.
Download website and GitHub releases
The landing page at talkback.rommelcuneta.com (also available at g-monitor-talkback.web.app and g-monitor-talkback.firebaseapp.com) is served by Firebase Hosting. It provides download and setup information, not live audio sessions. Hosting providers may process connection information, including IP addresses and request metadata, to deliver and protect the website under their own retention practices.
The page requests public release metadata directly from GitHub to display the latest version and APK download. GitHub receives the visitor's network request information. Downloads are served by GitHub, not Firebase. The page does not send app display names, audio, camera frames or pairing PINs to GitHub. GitHub's processing is described in its Privacy Statement.
Google Analytics (G-01CSS0BL79) is optional on the download landing page. It loads only after you select “Allow analytics” in the footer; it is off by default. Your landing-page choice is saved locally and is separate from any consent previously given to the hosted PWA. If browser storage is unavailable, your choice applies to the current page only.
After consent, Google Analytics may process page activity, browser/device information, cookie identifiers and connection information for usage measurement. The page sends a page address without query parameters or fragments and does not intentionally send app names, audio, camera frames or pairing secrets to Analytics. Advertising storage, ad personalization and Google Signals are disabled in the tag configuration. Google processing is described in Google's Privacy Policy.
You can use downloads and setup information without allowing Analytics. Select “Turn off” in the footer to stop collection; the page reloads to unload the tag when the choice can be saved. Clear browser site data to remove local preferences and identifiers. This does not delete data already transmitted to Google, which remains subject to the property's retention settings. Contact the developer about access or deletion inquiries. The installed Android app and local Android-hosted iOS interface do not load Google Analytics. The website's cleanup worker retires the former hosted PWA's app cache; it does not remove every browser preference or cookie.
Previously hosted PWA
The hosted Talkback PWA has been replaced by the landing page. Earlier hosted versions offered optional Google Analytics after consent. Replacing the website does not retroactively delete previously transmitted analytics information or remotely update an offline copy still stored on a device. Previously collected data remains subject to the Analytics property's retention settings. Clear the old site's browser data to remove local preferences, identifiers and cached copies, and contact the developer for access or deletion inquiries. Google's processing is described in Google's Privacy Policy.
Purchases, support links and contact
A paid Google Play download is processed by Google Play under its payment terms. The app does not receive payment card details. External support payments are not available in the Play distribution. Other distributions may offer optional GCash/Buy Me a Coffee links; these do not unlock app features. Those services process payments under their own policies, and the app does not receive card or wallet credentials.
If you email support, the developer receives the email address, message and any information you attach, and uses them to answer your inquiry. Do not send pairing secrets or sensitive recordings unnecessarily. Support correspondence is retained while needed to handle the request; contact romcun97@gmail.com to request deletion, subject to any applicable record-retention obligations. The app does not sell user data.
Audience and updates
This is a team communication tool. It is not marketed as a children's service. Changes to data practices will be reflected in this policy and applicable app disclosures. For questions, contact romcun97@gmail.com.
